I always want to post more in this thread but I never read comics when they are new ( I only use dc universe and marvel unlimited so I have to wait at least 6 months - 1 year ). I don't want to annoy people by posting about comics that I am reading super late that they realistically have no interest in talking about anymore. Like I guess the op said old and new but still idk.

I don't think I've read anything by Grant Morrison. From what I've heard his stuff can get pretty strange/complicated lol. Do you know if his Green Lantern series is any good?

sadly didnt really like Death of the family, is the rest of the run better? court of owls + city were really really good, but this didnt hit me for some reason

Court was a really fresh take and something that was never done before in that Snyder incorporated more horror vibes and really created this voice for Bruce. Death of the family hits a little harder if you’re kinda aware of the history behind what Joker has done to the bat family in the past.

I’d say each arc is definitely different. Id recommend continuing reading, because Snyder does have some unique s*** coming up. And his Riddler story was actually dope.

I think my fave outside of court of owls was Snyder’s Bloom arc. Just something way f***ing different than what we’ve seen before so I think you’ll like.... maybe lol

i dont know jokers history with the bat family, maybe that affected it indeed, overall i also just didnt really like his joker in this tbh, idk what it was but he was so over the top to me, i like joker more like the one in killing joke for example yk?

Yeah I feel it. Joker was pretty wild but even the Joker has a crazy arc through Snyder’s run. You’ll see haha
