Wow that’s a big library. I’m assuming your tv shows in 720p though? I mix and match my tv shows, most animation 720p, and sitcoms 720p. Everything else 1080p. I also prefer blu ray over webdl’s (except there’s new encoders who use Netflix 4k rips and encode them to 1080p, then sync the blu ray audio with them and that’s by far my new favorite encodes)

Thinking of transferring my plex server to a raspberry pi 4. I direct play everything and just one stream at a time. Doing this cause new apartment and energy costs of running my gaming pc 24/7 vs raspberry pi 24/7... saves me like 30$ a month

Update: I transferred everything over to the pi 4. Pain in the ass to set up but I got everything working.
4k HDR remux’s with subtitles direct play no problem i can leave it on 24/7 now will only cost me $10 per year

The pi 4 is running me perfectly lol. No need for anything more for my case. Runs 4k remux’s with Dolby atmos and HDR with no problem
I have some HD remux's on my computer and I mostly get movies from MEGA's. I'm kind of interested in using PleX, but I don't know where to start. I also would be down to get into torrenting, but I haven't been in the tracker game since what.CD and apollo and mostly stuck to music. Would PleX save me from just storing 10 GB movies on my HD?

@Kr0niic
Thank you cuz, I know I can always rely on KTT if I need some info on some s*** I know nothing about. If I were to ask the same thing on reddit, my s*** would just get deleted and someone would be like "Check sidebar, idiot, lul"

Plex is more to stream those HD remux’s you have to any device in your house.
To start up Plex and see if you like it, download the media server, point it to where you have your movies saved, and the rest happens by itself, your Plex library should be filled up after that.
The private tracker game helps to get your hands on anything in the quality you want, but if you don’t care about the highest quality, public trackers may be fine for you.

Does Plex function more like a cloud storage or like a library displaying stuff on your hard drive, I have external storage but I'm not tryna have all that stored on my laptop and s***.

It functions as a library of displaying stuff on your local drives.
Although there is a way to setup Plex with google drive and I see people using google business accounts with unlimited storage and they use Plex that way. But I’m not the person to ask on how to do that

Is there like a 'FitGirl Repacks' equivalent for HD movies?
Preferably like direct download link

Ehhhhhhhh
If you use private trackers, especially the big one. There’s “golden popcorn” encodes which are virtually indistinguishable from the remux which is usually 8-13gb smaller than the remux.
But don’t expect it to be much more

My server keeps breaking itself. Something with Linux permissions and somehow they keep changing on each other. Spent hours fixing it last night. Finally got it working then I guess overnight it broke..... this the worst idk how it randomly broke after a year of working fine
Wait @op can you link movies that you have access to through a streaming service like Netflix? Not sure what you meant by “access all your movies, tv shows from one app”
I was thinking Plex is just a server for content you have downloaded on your computer.

Nah you can’t do that. This is for stuff you have downloaded.
