So keep running and power thru it by icing after every time? Or should I wait a week or two for them to heal before I run again?
I powered through it and iced after every run.
I think I have shin splints from going too hard as a beginner, I was able to do 5k in 30 min a few weeks ago, but my legs tap out at around the second mile now. Should I just I take a couple weeks off and go back in with some slower runs or do I really have to ice them every day? I only feel the pain when im running.
apply ice and dont go too hard but be very careful. it gets tricky bc my s*** starts aching early on but by 5th kilometer it doesnt hurt much. anywho can confirm that ice helps
My long run is def my favourite run of the week, really need to up the ante towards half-marathon distance

That’s what I’m going for this weekend
Recommendations for running shoes?
You'll want to head to a specialist running shop like fleet feet to have your gait looked at so they can recommend you shoes
they say you should get a new pair of shoes between 100 and 150 miles is that what you have found to be true? 🤔

depending on your weight and some other factors you can easily double to triple that

I got to 1,000 miles, or so for last year and went through 3 pairs.
I don't have much income right now, but if I did I would buy a new pair every 150 miles cause the give on a nice new pair of running daps got me doing the banderas gif.

ive got two pairs completely unbroken but i still wanna get out there in my 230 mile beaters. im probably gonna finish off the season in my current two pair rotation and then move on to the other two. i got roughly the same mileage on both current ones
took a bit of a break on my runs and they were wildly inconsistent but im getting back into it
Love running
My shoe rotation atm
Adidas Boston 12s - basic trainer
Saucony endorphin elites - race/speed
Norda 002 - trail (only done like 30km lol)
Got a pair of new balance 1080v3 that are just about done. Love them though
