Gonna have to assume it was for the best. The first 3 seasons really all you need in my opinion. It covers a wide variety of topics with great nuance.

People kept saying that the boondocks needs to come back to address the problems we see today but lemme tell you we are not so different than we were as a society when this show was airing. The 30+ episodes we got in their original run was more than enough knowledge to last multiple generations. Anything that’s happening today can probably be traced back to any a number of episodes from the first 3 seasons of you ask me.

We don’t need the boondocks addressing the pandemic or trump or anything of that nature because there was already plenty of material from back then that could be applied to today’s culture.
