honestly making a beat is as easy as knocking on a table.
producing the song though it's what requires that touch.
i promise you if you know what you're doing you can Knock something out in about an hour. however if you're trying to achieve something specifically it's gonna take a while.
...
but that's you being an artist / producer and not just a beat maker.
The whole trap genre is exactly doing what OP is telling producers not to. However they are the ones making hits while OP is here demotivating people.
loop makers the real musicians or do I see that wrong? if you put some drums over a pre-made loop that's barely producing unless they do way more

Everybody uses loops. Literally every producer has the same 808 mafia drum kit that leaked way back
You just suck right now bro trust me

40 did amazing on the wu tang forever beat but imagine it without this f***ing masterpiece
just keep going, sometimes you can make the majority of one of your favorite beats in 20 mins and then spend 2 days tinkering with it and making changes pretty much no one else will hear.
getting started is the hardest part--from there production is all about simplifying your process and materializing your ideas as accurately and fast as possible, so you don't exhaust your creativity and feel inspired to continue making music.

musicians and producers are two different things, sometimes they intersect, for example Zaytoven plays the keys like a master and he makes beats so he can be considered both
Most producers don’t even claim to be musicians and neither is superior to the other
@lego_soft_toy got some loops
It’s certainly a skill, I’ve tried but prefer to be on vocals. Anyone who is trying keep going
but what if I can just take different f***ing loops and put them together thinking I'm f***ing Pharrel
I have projects from 2019 still opened

did u make a thread? i can pin it if you want
Making beats super easy I’d just rather slave away in sales because I’m built different
for some niggas like Southside it’s like breathing but to make truly great beats it’s tough asf, esp starting out
that said, if you know what you doing, throwing some trap drums over a splice loop is easy and the beat will be hot but it’s not gonna be a classic or anything
The thing about it is. You need to develop your ear/taste over time.
