to each his own, to me the best art is always made by collaboration, the more people the better sometimes

but i do feel you on the gratification of making something from the ground up, it hits different. i just make what i feel like would be heat, loops or no loops

Yeah madlib doesnt use splice bro. Hes so great at what he does because he finds obscure samples no one else does and warps them in v creative ways. Nothing like dropping a loop in from a popular selection of loops and adding drums

With that being said, being upset at the process is natural. Reaching the plateau you know you’re capable of takes tremendous time and effort , trial & error. It’s a lot on the ego and self esteem to remain persistent thru the learning curve
