idk i guess i was expecting the remakes to fit into gen 8 somehow
and carry over dynamax and stuff, so that the competitive mons i made in swsh can actually matter in future games
like theyve been doing for ages
but this just looks like gen 4's standalone lets go type thing
I'm glad it doesn't fit into Gen 8 storyline. Sinnoh doesn't connect at all with Galar story wise. They would have had to redo Gen 4 entire story to fit in why Dynamaxing, a phenomenon that is suppose to occur only in galar is happening in Sinnoh. Plus it was a lot of backlash about Dynamaxing.
You have to remember that Gen 4 was the start of the games having a more dynamic story. It was easy to fit Mega evolution into Gen 3 because the story was still pretty bare bones. Gen 2 and 1 barely had any plot.
It's not a standalone game. It'll connect to SWSH. Dynamax just isn't in this game.
Niggas worried about trees on a Switch game
Nope
Eh, zelda botw, monster hunter rise, dragon quest xi all look great on switch, its not unreasonable for pokemon fans to get mad at n64 trees

Facts!

People keep underrating switch hardware. Its not comparable to the best hardware out now of course, but doom eternal, dragon quest xi, monster hunter rise are all third parties but they run so well on the switch
Im glad they chose sinnoh as the region for pokemon legends, its the region with the most lore so im interested in what the story is gonna be like. Could elevate my love for sinnoh even higher

Agreed! It's no excuse why Pokemon, a series that make billions run worst than most indie titles on switch. It's perfectly fine for a fan base to be upset about how a game looks and feels.
They also chose some random ass starters and im HAPPY about that. They could've went with charmander, froakie and treecko but they went with some relatively underrated starters
Like it's 2021, game freak should know how to get a game to run smoothly. They been having frame rate issues since 2013!

Two of which are some some of my favorites (Oshawott and Cyndaquil)
I wish I hadn’t of bought lets go and shield/sword out of desperation because it kinda killed my hype for Pokémon and both of these games look great. The faithful remake of pearl/diamond is what I wanted of yellow/red/blue and legends is what sw/sh should have been

I love oshawott too, i was so happy to see them
Good observation. Brings me back to being chased by Pokémon in the Wild Area in Sword&Shield
Links Awakening chibi artstyle looked way better. It had its fair share of framerate drops, but the graphics fit the game. I don’t know, to me Gen4 had something epic, a more ambitious take on the Sinnoh world would be more deserving.
Which one do y’all think is gonna be the one used for online battles?
Pokemon legends is most likely not gonna have competitive online
And gen4 remake looks cool too. Its better to do a classic 2d game with Links Awakening graphics than try at 3d and fail like SW/SH
would be gooaaattttt lol
Might have to get Legends. Gen 4 was cool but not sure how excited I am about re playing that story
This was 15 years ago
