I took a pause on Sky after I beat Dialga. Idk if it’s my team comp but I keep getting f***ing roasted by the Guild members and s*** and I eventually stopped playing lol.

The game is great though outside of missing some of the QOL features that the newer games have.

Also the story somehow got me emotional as f*** even after all of these years

im gonna bet that Legends looks bad and everyone is mad and its a large topic of discussion for months

but BDSP turn out nearly perfect

or it kills 3D 3rd person open world Pokemon completely and they stick with new games and more remakes in the Let's Go and BDSP format

Honestly if they fail this I’m cool with them doing 2/2.5D graphics going forward.

Like yeah a 3D open world Pokémon is everyone’s dream but I have zero faith in game freak doing it justice. Especially with their two year schedule.

I’ll take a big 2D map with lots of content, more expansive dungeons, more places to explore, etc over a big open world with barley anything to do tbh

whats a good example? BOTW cant be because 900p and 25fps is how the game ran in areas with like 4 NPCs around

AC Origins, The Witcher, RDR2, Spiderman, The Division, Fortnite, Watch Dogs, GTA V, Minecraft, etc all have their own versions of open world but i cant see them understanding the type of world that Pokemon needs, only GF can understand but theyre dev skills...man...

maybe Monolith or Bandai could help since Xenoblade Chronicles and DBZ Kakarot seem to be pretty close or even Level-5 since Yokai Watch 4 and Nino Kuni games look amazing but we would need GF and TPC to do the main production with world building and more from someone else with actual experience

That's how you play it bro. Keep your expectations low. If it looks mid I'll be going the second hand market route again so I know GF won't be getting my money. Can't keep supporting mid.

Sky lay the ground work for super mystery dungeon(another underrated banger) man the post game is no joke. Way harder than the first games.

I guarantee that's how it's going to be. If they don't show any NPCs or even what the f*** the game is about this time then yeah it's going to be a hard skip until a price drop or I buy it from someone else for like $30.

DBZ Kakarot is damn near the perfect open world game that people are taking for granted. Dimps filled that game up with so much content that it becomes overwhelming lmao. It's not a lot of recycled fetch quest. All the side missions seem to have some kind of lore attached to it or some kind of goofy DB moment.

Pokemon can be a perfect open world game...... Just not made by Game Freak. They can't barely make a functioning 3D Pokemon game with content. Idk why ANYONE would expect them to make a functioning 3D open world game where the entire game is 3D and they can't get away with making distant objects flat surfaces that are faking 3D.
