My bad I meant to add the GBA games never needed to be added to a virtual console because we got Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It would have been redundant. The GB/GBC games was still available via 3DS.

Yeah probably wasn't a discount because they just released that version of the game with DLC like 2 months ago. If you waited a lil longer it probably would have been on sale. Lol

Im almost done with bd, then I have black to finish the last half of, and yeah I could have just downloaded all the games after I didnt play yet....But bd got me wanting to play more pokemon on the switch bad lol. I finished multiple old games/hacks, but I def want to play the modern ones. Im wondering if I should try to do the ones tied to this new game soon tho. gotta do arceus as well

that’s why i don’t think they’ll do virtual console GBA games until Switch 2, so they’re at least a full console gen out from ORAS

since RSE & FRLG are the only GBA games, i’d like to think they’ll both launch together if they ever come to current gen consoles in a virtual console situation. before today, i didn’t think they’d do DS games on a Virtual Console since BDSP just came out & Johto/Unova remakes were otw soon, but if the latter are on hold for now (if even still happening), maybe there’s a chance? just unsure how the dual screen/touch screen would translate to the Switch. but that’s why we wait on the next console for those.

Even then the Switch 2 is suppose to still be able to connect to the original switch and it'll still have home. Pokemon Bank isn't going to be effected by the 3DS shut down for now. Until the 3DS is fully cut off I don't see them doing anything with games locked to GBA, DS, and 3DS

I think Wolfey is on to something so I don't think Torchic will be the fire starter. My guess would be either Emboar or Incineroar. Charizard and Blaziken already have megas. I could also see the grass starter being Meganium

Legends has no rules besides being more about lore and a bigger focus on it & is kinda its own thing like Lets Go was/is - its supplemental & experimental as a side & hardcore fan series

Iirc Gen 4 remakes were first announced then some minths later Legends Arceus - so if its a pattern then Gen 5 remake will peobably be announced late this year or sometime next year

Im so glad theyre not dropping the Legends series like we originally feared & im glad its expanding on the lore(s) like we theorized years ago with like Legends Mew, Legends Kyurem, Legends Zygarde, Legends Ultra Beast, Legends Ho-oh or whatever @Ultima

Its dope tho. Idk why they dropped Lets Go but im glad this didnt get that same treatment & seems to be a mainstay

It would have been cool tho if we had Lets Go titles for little kids, the regular genned games for the general audience & the Legends games for hardcore fans all at once alternating. Missed opportunity/synergy/market favoring but Gamefresk usually never does what most of consider best or a no brainer for the series

If gen 3 (best gen) ever gets a Legends it would be cool if it went kinda left field & focused on all 5 regies with some potentially all nee ones along with giggas before it moved to sinnoh when moving continent's when they were all (potentially) in Hoenn originally, since we got the Deoxys delta episode.

A story surrounding the chaos of Giggas moving the literal landmasses in the path would be wild and perhaps it created the mini regies to help defend itself against primal Goundon and Kyorgre because they dont like that s*** and all the earthquakes but giggas cant really defend itself in the moments while it does its job stuck moving the land thus the mini Regies protection - but once the s*** is done or if primal Kyogre and Groundon get to dangerous or close we get a crazy form of Regiggas that fought them - which in the aftermath leads to the powered down regiggas of today with its slow start ability from it going off too hard back in the day so its f***ed up and why its in Dinnoh to be away from Grounddon and Kyogre's crazy asses

Or i guess the more no-brainer path would be about Jirachi coming to Earth, but the Regies in ancient Hoenn would be cool with some side content in it of the Dragon clan people and/or Jirachi.

Or maybe its not really focused on a specific legend overall but is in general just about the ancient dragon clan of the path & then you have the sprinkles of all the legends THAT INVOLVES THE LATI DRAGONS DADDY TALKED ABOUT IN THE MOVIE OR SUMN JUSY SAYIN

Because its in the Legends series and Legends Arceus was perhaps the best Pokemon game in 10+ years and still is one of the best Switch games tbh

13 sec mark. You can see Torchic, Piplup, and Snivy chilling with their respective Legends Arceus counterparts, camera then cuts to Froakie (a Gen VI/Kalos pokemon)

one thing to note is that when Indigo Disk got previewed, they showed Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup next to the Hisui starters, and they’ve done Mightiest Mark raids for Blaziken & Empoleon without the rest of Sinnoh & Hoenn starters so far (plus Samurott regular form for Unova, but only because it’s a Hisui starter)… just something to think about

plus, it’s pretty likely the final evolutions will be regional forms, so Mega Blaziken already existing won’t matter
