I never understood people putting EWS as their number 1 given the fact he could have done so much more with it. The last act felt so rushed and anticlimactic

The last act was so chilling when I realized when Kidman and Cruise are in the toy shop with the daughter (final scene), the daughter is essentially kidnapped (you see her walking off with 2 older men that I believe were at the very first party) he really did have to pay the price for his odyssey. I feel spotting that adds a lot of weight to the ending.
