Some jobs inherently cannot work from home. That is not a class issue that’s just the reality of your situation. Not sure I get the point you’re trying to make here
Its a class issue because those jobs that arent wfh are disproportionately low paying jobs
I dont have a bone to pick about wfh. Im just pointing out a minor consideration. I wfh a lot
I WFH 5 days a week (no way around it, team is split up in multiple states) and I f***ing hate it.
So isolating and boring. Also way more work tbh.
i can see the isolating argument - because it can be - but i think that the way more work is job/position dependent. i wfh and have pretty much the same amount of work as when i was in the office
the most annoying and insufferable person on my team was also the biggest advocate against wfh, it was clear that the only social life he had was work bc nobody fw him irl lol

Not everybody can wfh as efficiently, thats why the hybrid model makes sense. Some ppl are alcoholics and stoners and need to be away from home or else theyd be high or drunk all day working from home

Those jobs would exist even if wfh was not a thing. If you want to discuss opportunities and disproportionate salary then I’d be more inclined to hear you out but throwing wfh in there seems like an entirely different conversation

Oh no its a minor thing, just a correlation i pointed out. I have no interest in dismantleing the wfh concept, i think it has more advantages than flaws. That being said i dont think it works for everyone
The classism angle is a minor consideration

ideally ppl should be able to choose bc yeah everyone has different needs but nah they wanna force the same s*** on everyone like we cattle or sum smh

I agree 100%

I feel you. My profession is very autonomous and as someone that works fully remote it would be virtually pointless to be in the office just to be talking via email/calls/teams to internal and external people that are in different states lol. It works for me but obviously not for everyone
I’ve been in HO since covid and it’s perfect for me. I feel better if I have more time for myself, gym/music, friends and family.
I‘m saving at least 1.5 hours per day because I don’t have to drive to the office. Then there's the break on top, which I can spend how I want and not near the office.
Before and during the first year of Covid I had way too much work and felt burned out.
Now I appreciate the peace and opportunities. We all are different and have different opinions and needs. I don’t see why it should be a problem.
I mean working from home all 5 days is kinda cringe
I worked from home 3-4 days a week and it gets tiring. I think 1-2 WFH is cool but anymore and the social aspect kinda sucks
Ppl gonna say “lol being friends with coworkers” but yeah we’re social creatures and I work with 90% women. You don’t want me to interact with them?
honestly saying you work with 90% women to make your point here is kinda creepy
I think it depends on where you’re at in life too. I can understand why people right out of college may want the social aspect that comes with being in an office of peers. It could be a harsh transition going from being around people in college to then WFH 5 days a week living in whatever city you found a job in and looking to make new friends plus a significant other
I think as they get older and get in a relationship they may start to prefer WFH

Are you gay?? Saying I like socializing at work bc a lot of them is women is creepy??? Women hit on me at work don’t get it twisted buddy I don’t hit on them
Some of u really try to make being a man a bad thing.. insane times we live in
Dude literally said it’s creepy to enjoy working around and interacting with women.. what has society come to bruh

Previous OP has severe brain damage. Never gonna catch my ass willingly working in an office again
We’ll see about that
