It’s gonna take more than that. McDonald’s already replacing cashiers with the order kiosks, that’s just the beginning

I agree. Smoke and bathroom breaks are just ways people avoid responsibility and feed their addictions

I even had a coworker once who was breastfeeding and they allowed her 30 min break every 2 hours so she could pump milk. What a load of bullshit.

Regardless, none of that is as bad as work from “home” employees getting paid to create traffic and eat at restaurants and play video games in their living rooms

    misogynytothe strikes again

Social isolation is a weak debate for being against wfh. You don’t know these people lives or what they do on the weekend.

People rarely even social anymore in this damage and age anyway.

You can’t say oh construction workers / retail workers is pissed at corporate office employees that wfh. Again these people lead their own path in life and their own choices.

yeah but i’m not even suprised about min wage jobs cause they already treat people like robots

it’s the professional careers that will be made redundant in the next 10 years that’s a major shift that will make these convos cease to exist

you sound jealous af my guy

I'm sticking up for folks who aren't privileged enough to get paid for reaching silver in league of legends or finishing season 4 of a trash show

if you can do your job from home you are privileged and things should be adjusted to offset that privilege or else society will suffer in the long run

I have the option and I choose to work in the office. I get so much more done in the office. If I WFH I just end up f***ing off or doing yard work.

I find I do the same amount of work, if not more

In the office, we had massage chairs, game rooms, people always chatting, loud cheering and distractions

At home, sure I have my video games and other entertainment, but it pretty much offsets lol

I guess it just depends on the person and their preferences

I mean working from home all 5 days is kinda cringe

I worked from home 3-4 days a week and it gets tiring. I think 1-2 WFH is cool but anymore and the social aspect kinda sucks

Ppl gonna say “lol being friends with coworkers” but yeah we’re social creatures and I work with 90% women. You don’t want me to interact with them?

Its ok going to office if only its less than 30 minutes away now shut your b**** ass up bro I aint wasting 3 hours in traffic all day going to the office

as a long time wfh worker here are my personal reasons for why it's beneficial

    • I don't wake up earlier
    • I hate corporate culture, faking smiles and behaviors
    • There are no coworkers in my team working physically
    • My workload is relatively light so most of my time I would just waste doing nothing, instead at home I can take care of many other things and chores

people forgetting that WFH is a public health issue and that crowded workplaces are disease factories. weird to chalk it up as "yuppie bullshit".

WFH aint no public health issues
People gotta realize you gotta take care of you by yourself !
Sitting in traffic waking up early and wasting hours commuting to the job just because the corporate greedy ass old mf want to see you in office even tho you can do that from your home is unhealthy.
And you talking about health ? I could gap 99% of this site in sports

I'm WFH 5 days a week when I'm not doing red team drills or doing site checks every few months.

WFH employees should have mandatory software for eye tracking and screen recording so that they are only paid during the times they’re truly working

If it was 1800s you would own some slaves ngl

When stats even show productivity increases across the board when mfs WFH as well as quality of life

  • Sep 30, 2024

And don't get it twisted I do like to go to office sometimes with the boys we became real friends from WFH and when we want to meet IRL we go to the office and also get drunk as s*** during the 2 teambuildings per year.

So miss me with that corporate micro managed bullshit everyone is familly come to the office 5 days a week

I mean it’s not but yall got it

Blue collar jobs cannot be done at home, pay less, and destroy bodies. Idk how anyone can feel good about themselves working a cushy white collar job from home. It’s all about perspective.

Oh they’re crying because they have to go to an office where there’s free coffee and sit in a cubicle to get paid? Oh the horror. Let them do it from the comfort of their beds and living room.

White collar workers come out ahead every step of the way while those less fortunate are stuck in the mud and falling further behind.

Complaining about not being able to work from home is the very definition of first world problem

Like I said. People wanna “work” from home then pay them only for WORK done at home.

Find a way to stop all that video gaming, TV watching, errands running on the clock. Eye tracking and screen monitoring.

The average employee is not working more than 4 hours a day unless it’s crunch time. Look at construction workers, SWE, bankers, teachers, etc.
