Crazy how him and Cordae were 2 dudes who dropped promising debut albums and then just f***ing dropped the ball on the 2nd album.
We not bringing Cordae into this he was mid from day 1
Not gonna use Don Toliver as an example because Life Of A Don is a good album.
only one that understood the assignment
Fivio soon too

I like his first album
It wasn’t like a masterpiece but it showed initial promise. Now the 2nd album on the other hand
Not gonna use Don Toliver as an example because Life Of A Don is a good album.
his album was so good i was surprised none of the songs took off

Because Don lacked hooks on the joint. He made better songs then Heaven & Hell, but the hooks in that album were alot more catchy and infectious.
A Don Toliver album with the quality of LOAD + the Hooks of H&H is gonna be his opus.
He was making fast food rap. You can’t wait that long in between drops
facts, he waited 2 years to drop the exact same album as anti social but without the big hit
This is already a bad look
He’s playing into the critics and the memes hands
It’s a wrap

real

the problem was his new album actually wasn't like his debut, the melodies and catchy hooks just weren't there. It would be wrong to say he just dropped the same album
need him to explain where his catchy hooks went
he said he didnt have a ghostwriter for none of it
idk bro maybe he just had the sauce and drive for album #1 and didn't for 2

disagree, everything on there could’ve just been put right into the anti social track list and fit in just fine
late at night was on the new album not the last one
Oh I thought you were talking about The Box

Personally I think he tried to rap too much, when rapping isn’t his strength. It’s his vocalization. That’s his gift.

Yup, spot on

Flocky Flocky was there, but the whole travis thing
Flocky Flocky was there, but the whole travis thing
Yeah but if you compare that to his debut. Songs like After Party, No Idea etc.
It just doesn’t match up.
Cardigan might have been one of the best hooks I heard that year. That hook is a masterpiece.
Y’all stay talking about the length between Antisocial and LLF, but the actual problem was the songs on LLF being extremely mediocre
If he would’ve dropped that same exact body of work one year earlier it would’ve gotten the same exact response, the timeframe between the projects has nothing to do with the reception it received

It was both, 2 years and it being mediocre and the whole bit of him hyping it up, "no skips" ,"not fast food music"
these artists act like they're Drake whilst putting in 1/10th of the work he did, s***s weird
don't get it twisted nav
CLB was mid too...
Sounds like he still in denial
Lmaooo bro Roddy will be fine
It was both, 2 years and it being mediocre and the whole bit of him hyping it up, "no skips" ,"not fast food music"
The longer wait + “no skip policy” definitely made the disappointment a little more drastic, but it would’ve received the same mediocre reception regardless of when it came out and people would still be saying Roddy fell off
