Make sure you got enough toys to keep it busy/occupied, especially if it’s going to be an inside cat

I invested in a cat tower for my kitten a few months back (like 70-100) and it was the best thing it f***ing loves sleeping and chilling in that s***

I have 3 it can be expensive at times but not too bad. Have him on an eating schedule so u dont over feed and waste money. U dont have to blow money on toys and stuff they enjoy playing with yarn, shoe laces paper balls ect. Also plan to take him to the vet at least once or twice a year for flea treatment and a check up might as well get it out of the way before they actually get fleas or sick because that'll cost way more than the treatment/check ups

The dude that showed me the cat said i will for sure be able to take him home tomorrow. But he just work there and he ain’t finna be there tomorrow anyway

Fax shawty 3 years old. So he young so he shouldn’t need to many check ups this year right?

you should be good on the vet unless something comes up

once a year is good for a checkup. and for updating rabies vaccines etc. can probably get away with every couple years if your boy seems healthy and active

i keep my litterbox in my bathroom seems to work for everyone

as for food definitely go for wet. will help avoid health issues in the future. a lot of cats end up will end up with kidney disease if they only eat dry food
cats don't drink enough water since they got their hydration through feeding on live prey before they were domesticated.

if you're worried about his teeth there are other supplements you can get to to be proactive about his dental health

Litter boxes only reek if you don’t maintain them like you’re supposed to . Other than that , Cats are pretty low maintenance unless you end up with one of the destructive demon type of cat

I read somewhere that I should do dry once a day and wet twice a day? This sound correct to you?

I’m not sure if it’s the same across the board but I’d expect that to be the case. You should prob be able to get it tomorrow. Best of luck!

everyone kinda has a different opinion on that.

that's honestly not a bad combo though. and is def what a lot of people do

i feed my maine coon wet three times a day with some freeze dried raw toppers. i just started giving him a supplement for his teeth since the vet said he saw some plaque build up

he's 9 or 10 now tho so it's kinda inevitable with the teeth

  • Wet food is way better because usually cats don’t drink much and you need to animate them by having water fountains or something similar. I only give dry snacks to my two cats one time per day at most and not throughout the day. I make sure that it’s just a lil bit. So if you give more dry food make sure that your cat is drinking enough water.

Litter boxes don‘t smell if you have good litter and clean them regularly. I clean them one time in the morning and in the evening. That’s enough.

Automatic feeders are pricey but I can recommend them because they are great when having high temperatures in the apartment. You make sure that the food is always fresh and it doesn’t smell too much (only if they eat) and Flies can’t reach it.

Have a great time with your cat! I’m happy for ya!
