    It’s been:
    Spayed
    Neutered
    Vaccinated
    Microchipped
    Fiv/Leukemia tested (negative)
    Vaccinated too

Does it need vet visits this year or am I set? Also wet food better than dry, dis correct?

How do litter box work and where should I keep it? What else I gotta know before I bring this boy home tomorrow?

If I’m busting inside the female should the cat be present in the room or nah? Help a mf out

EDIT: can y’all post pics of your cats please?

I have 3 and they’re very low maintenance and inexpensive, especially if it already has all of that taken care of. I give them mostly dry food with a can of wet a couple times a week. I have 4 litter boxes but if you only have 1 cat then find a low key spot for it and you’ll be alright. Cats are super chill hope you enjoy it

Honestly I wouldn’t worry about vet visits unless it gets sick, they’re independent creatures and every time I’ve taken em in for checkups it’s been a complete waste of money. I’d just invest in a brush and make sure you’re grooming it like once a week, otherwise they do their own thing and really just need litter scooped and to be fed

one major thing to remember is its litter box is gunna smell like hardcore ammonia, so find a good spot wherever you live, maybe put it in the laundry room or something, i only say this because my roomate use to keep his cats litterbox in his room and it would just smell like rank piss when you would walk into his room which is a lil nasty, you get use to it tho

if he’s fully vaccinated you should prob be good. they need a lot of vaccines at different times though so make sure he has them all. but also make sure you have at least a little money lying around in case something comes up and you need to take him to the vet. i’d say just double check the paperwork if you have any and do a bit of googling to be sure cause i wouldn’t wanna f*** around with their health.

Dogs way higher maintenance and expensive. One thing tho is don’t switch up their food much, we get them organic hard food which is kinda expensive but it’s much better for em and we just get tuna or whatever wet food is on display

Fam so I was reading. And some mfs say dry food better for their teeth but high in carbs so bad for their body and wet food better for their immune but won’t help them have stronger teeth. I’m confused on what type of food to get?

oh 3 years? you’ll be fine man you’ll only need to bring him to the vet if you notice something weird going on with their health. ive never brought my cats in for checkups only if something seemed wrong and they’re doing great at 16. enjoy the kitty

you can get scented litter i dont know how well it works tho, i havent used it for my cats, but def ask your homie about his litter if he had it in his kitchen, my other roomate used these little jiblets things rather than sand litter and it worked pretty well, i was just letting you know its easy to go nose blind to the litterbox

you just have to clean it every day it's simple if you stay on top of it and then it won't smell like piss at alllll

i’d say keep it in the bathroom if you have room and just make sure you don’t leave the door closed for long

We get em “i and love you” brand hard food and I’d get em a pack of whatever wet food. Give em hard food every day and wet like 2/3 times a week. Also don’t get the scented litter it’s bad for em, get non scented litter that clumps
