wet food > dry for sure

vaccinations i think are yearly?? if im not mistaken but some of them are for like... if u have multiple cats or they go outside

get a litterbox without a hood

some cats might not be litter trained but u can work to it
some might just be picky about the type of substrate (sand vs pellets vs watever)

if it marks ur home, it might be a one off thing
or if its reg ur cat mightve been really recently neutered and the hormones take up to a month to adjust
otherwise it might be a stress thing so id look into adding scratchers and stuff where it marks (After u clean it ofc) so that it can relieve stress in a more.... nice way

So he barely ate the wet food. Like half a bowl. Cats like dry food even thought wet food is better for them so I brought another bowl and put dry food in it. At the shelter they only had dry food out for him and he was eating them. So I have three bowls out: one with wet food, one with dry, a bowl of water. Also went in and got some treats and another toy

my cat is also super picky about the type of wet food LFAEFAWEF

like my cat is an a****** and exclusively likes shredded poultry
he does NOT like fish and does NOT like pate

so id try diff types of wet food and brands to see whats up--i personally have found a ton of success with Dave's shredded chicken

but yea cats can definitely prefer dry food
i hear that slowly adding more and more wet food into the dry food (and decreasing the dry food with that) can help make wet food palatable to them as well
but u can slowly convince him to like it that way allegedly

I’m home on my lunch break and he ate the wet food all the way to half bowl. I had put a fresh full bowl out for him. He still hasn’t eaten much of the dry food tho

not that expensive outside of some bills from the vets.

  • Jul 7, 2021

It’s almost 0 responsibility to take care of a cat. All you need is food and litter.

    LOL mans trolling, loves it

i also recommend not free feeding but feeding instead the recommended amt according to the can divided into 2-3 meals a day

    (ideally 3)
but they should be spread like 6-8 hrs apart ideally

    rather than free feeding

this matters more for cats w poor portion control tho
like my cat isnt bad at portion control but he starts getting a lil hunky after a while if he just eats what he wants SLSKSKS

cats are inexpensive and very easy to take care of, they literally clean themselves (you should still bathe them once in a while) and pee/poo by themselves. all you need is a litterbox and some food and ideally some toys for them to play with, they love catnip but dont overdo it or theyll get desensitized to it

they also sleep a s*** ton so theyre mostly out of the way

Also them knowing how to use the litter box is SOOOOO GOAT! I wake up in the morning and clean the litter, takes 5 minutes and I’m done! Also they are so considerate they cover up they poop and pee. Bro im finna start portion control once he knows me better. Rn I just leave two bowls of food outside and a bowl of water cause he doesn’t want to interact with me at all

Did you get a copy of its COVID card? Any outstanding vet bills? Those sneaky insurance companies know how to track people down so be careful not to bring one in with high bills!
