Also politics is the easiest way to fragment or lose your fanbase. I dont blame him for not speaking on it.

Black people are more than being oppressed lmao. Just let the man make his music

But KTT's gonna say that doesn't count because he didn't make a hit song about it.

Priorities people. Priorities. Michael Jordan also donated to Black causes contrary to popular belief despite his reputation for not being "outspoken enough."

All problems specifically black related in US is literally due to being black in US.

You also cant pretend everything is all good when it isnt, especially when "fun" Rap is mostly about killing, how much money you got n cheating (not saying there is anything wrong with that in context, but just saying in contrast to "issues" rap).

I dont think op is saying all fun or laidback rap has to be deleted tho, just that he wants a more prominent voice (smaller voices do this already) to Rap more heartfelt or more about any issues, personal or worldly.

Which imo isnt hard to understand and is a growing sentiment in general.

bro when black people cry out it falls on deaf ears
people literally want woke music .....TO DANCE TO
like what is gonna change after 3 mins of a woke track?

  • Sep 28, 2021

If he spoke he’d get s*** for not experiencing or relating to it enough by the same niggas acting like they need it from him lol.

He does plenty of charity work as is, that’s just his way of doing things.

exactly dudes want rappers to hop and skip to whatever THEY want so much trauma in our culture

I mean, talking about racism is cathartic for some people, and for others it really can put them in a dark place. The amount of activists committing suicide has been rising through the years. I wouldnt dock points off an artists who doesn’t want to write songs about black people continuously being state sanctioned murdered

So, if this person deserves scrutiny for his actions.

What are we supposed to do about Kanye West and Lil Wayne?

Great artists but are we really gonna act like their coonish statements didn't have just as much of a negative impact as not being outspoken enough?

Ya'll gotta keep that same energy and not just on rappers you don't like.
