Instagram @? Ill tell her we were classmates and i moved here last year lmao
You really think im about to do that do you really want smoke g?
Hey man, I got a Bachelor’s in Information Systems & got in the exact same situation. I worked at a goddamn IT call center for 2 years outta college, only making $15/hr, while spending an avg of 1 hr per call walking 50 year olds through resetting their Apple ID PW
However, I got reached out to IT staffing agencies & got IT certifications, and now have a great IT job making $50k/year
My advice to you is to look into Accounting staffing agencies in your area, get as many other Accounting certifications you can, and apply to 1-2 jobs per day. Make sure you customize your resume & cover letter for each job you apply to, and tailor it to the job requirements listed in each job posting.
Hang in there man! It’s a harsh realization that having a degree is no longer enough, but you CAN get through this!!!!
Thanks king
Glad your making good money bro! Keep striving! I just need my depression to go away and I’ll be good
I work in HR and i make like 19 an hr..
I tried to apply to positions higher then mine and they wanted 4 years of experience for only 15 an hr...
Kiss my ass
You spoke fax about LinkedIn but I hate how colleges expect you to work and go to school at the same time. Everyone can’t juggle school and work at the same time fam
You can intern over the summer
I work part time, 12hrs a week, I can manage it well enough tbh

No s*** college is a scam
Honestly college is like an all or nothing experience
Either you have the time of your life and meet someone but end up living a mundane life of paying back debt or you legitimately get an education and probably never end up working in the industry you set out to enter
I always wanted to go to live campus life but looking back on it I’m glad I didn’t because I’m making about as much as someone with more education except I have more Actual work experience
did you try to get an internship or full time during recruiting szn?
accounting is probably one of the easiest degrees to secure a job before you graduate, but after you’re out of college it’s a lot harder to break in. I think your best bet now is start working on CPA exams
seeing this thread solidifies my stance on going to college. Thanks
go to CC first, only go to university when you know exactly what you want to pursue a degree in.
Congrats on finishing college and getting your degree. I think many people don't use their time in college that well. In college you supposed be learning ofc, but it's also an opportunity to build connections w people in the field you'll be working in. Through connections you can increase your chance of getting a job quickly.
But yea, I do agree that college doesn't work for many people.
how exactly are you supposed to use college? ive been bent on going

what you do brother
No diss OP but doing the coursework and getting the physical degree is only a part of getting a job. You gotta network, make your resume, do internships, etc.. most of my peers had a job secured before they graduated

I'm not from the US so my experience might be different. But there would often be events, information fairs and special lectures at the uni that teachers, students and others could attend. You could skip these events but you could also use the opportunity to socialize and network. Guaranteed that teachers have connections in their field, and so do some students too. Many people joined student associations to get to know others from their programme.
There was also the option to apply for short term jobs offered by the uni which then could lead to getting to know more people in your field.
If you know how to network you can get a lot more than knowledge and a degree out of going to college.
