I love catching the bullshit guys be doing to me while dating or flirting then I remember I'm guilty of the same s*** with girls in the past.
Toxic masculinity def exists within the gay community and it's kinda weird/funny in a twisted way to see
Maybe you thought much wrong of them than they really are and also maybe they thought of u (the gay person) much wrong thamt they thought u were
It's exact same as racism
U gotta find middle ground
So that's what im saying
part of the reason i dont want to come out of the closet to family (or act how id really want to) is because its always been so much pressure to be "masculine" growing up in family thats all dudes except my mom. not showing any emotion, and some general misogyny and homophobia, "man up" etc
See what you gotta go is suck a d*** then punch a man out ice cold, they'll accept you for who you are.
Listen
I think im the only one in here tryna understand both sides
And they callin me a hater
Perfect example if u wanna do more research into toxic masculinity is elliot rodger
I think the term is used to shame a guy who disagrees with a woman or acts more masculine than the "average guy".
That's where the label gets f***ed up, most people only see it at the surface and use that label to deflect, it's pathetic.

It's veryyyyyy different tho
It's more like you need to fit your role of whatever people perceive to be much more specifically
Listen

in some instances we just dont need to hear the other side tho
this ain't one
but that "hear both sides out" stance isnt the play every time

Role as in dominant and submissive? Explain

Didn't he have mental issues?

I think you might not be able to fully translate your thoughts on the net, don't let that bring you down.

Yeah i know
That's prolly why im the only one
Cause I been on both sides
I was raised tougher but i seen the other side so it's like im tryna understand both
imo masculinity goes hand in hand with being responsible, owning your s***, and being able to lead. I don't see how that's toxic.
if you're referring to dudes who hit women and start street fights, that's so far removed from what a masculinity should be. lets call it what it is, anger and violence issues and not masculinity issues.

That's when this s*** opened up to me, nigga was a absolute CLOWN.
"My daddy rich and a film producer but I can't get any p**** cause I'm too busy watching other men get p**** and not building myself up so let me kill a bunch of women cause of what I feel I'm owed" what a loser
Didn't he have mental issues?
Lotta young boys who get told to "man up" never learn how to deal with their emotions. Couple that with how access for mental health treatment is effectively behind a paywall for the majority of people and you got a recipe for angry young men who find other angry young men and create entire groups around their hate.
Didn't he have mental issues?
Yeah, but he himself says its rooted by his father telling him not to show his emotions or cry, obviously theres many aspects to it but its still shows how toxic masculinity can be introduced when you are young and rots your mental sanity

You're rainbow gang?

Nah if i would it would be much harsher
We cool, point there, we agree OVERALL
(+ English like my third language)
Role as in dominant and submissive? Explain
Like if you're big guy, small, or whatever people like to attach their ideas of what you should be like to you.
Stuff like 'straight acting' is a thing which some guys like and others don't. The fact it even exists as a thing is dumb IMO.

When (reasonable) people say toxic masculinity though, that's what they're referring to. And it is a problem with masculinity imo, cause we are told that violence is the way to solve our problems from a ton of different sources through our lives
