That’s actually not true, their Christian homophobia wouldn’t let them. Doesn’t need to be either because horsewhips and regular rape of black women was already bad enough on their own
when did christian homophobia stop any male sexual abuse ever in history
So was my friend in the OP right?
Idk but I could believe it, especially in the Caribbean

A*** s***was a literal crime for centuries so it stopped them, not from happening at all but at least from being common place
There is no historical evidence or backing for buck breaking as a major practice. There is however, widespread evidence for a wide range of other atrocities committed in the name of slavery, so why make stuff up when the truth is already too far. It’s like saying during the holocausy SS Officers had a tradition of skinning the biggest Jew in public then wearing his face. Like it’s not true and it doesn’t need to be because the holocaust is already as bad enough as it was
Skimmed thru this and they reference actual slave accounts that verify that slave owners used to rape male slaves, but it wasn't some big ritual they invited everyone out to watch, probably due to the Christian homophobia you're referring to.

So no, it wasn't some big ritual everyone watched, but male slaves were raped.

Funny enough, this is the same exact source I used and what it’s stating is that male slaves were in fact sexually abused. That could be in the form of forcing them to have s***with family members as OP asked or putting them in demeaning sexual positions, which I haven’t ruled out. What I’m saying is the idea that a common thing for a white slave owner to rape the strongest male in public to make him look weak, seems like an embellishment
There were other races who had slaves in America?
Chile, some Native American tribes enslaved Black folks.
Damn maybe white people really should pay reparations
No dollar amount can take that trauma away
bump
keep it respectful
It’s 1 reason we look so different
Wouldnt that make us look more similar tho ?
Why even bump this, thread was already dying
because apparently i'm racist for locking it
bump
keep it respectful
The discussion was going well until the thread was locked. Nobody was being disrespectful except for the first few replies

Judging by how f***ed up ppl are today... Must of happened.
If ppl had slaves today, it would def be happening.
If you really want an idea of what was going on during slavery in the Americas (not just the U.S.) I would suggest looking into slave narratives.
Finding out they turned Nat Turners dead body into grease and ate him was deeply disturbing.

THEY DID WHAT??
The evil in this world...

Yes, there was a lot of cannibalism during slavery. Even Native American academics have written about it too.
Enslaved people and Native Americans were at points eaten by the White community.
One book is called "The Delectable Negro", it's a compilation of information from slave narratives.
This is kind of the problem with "historians", they will completely leave out information like this.

What are the best ones to read?
Sounds like a myth. Slave owners were probably against incest and other immoral s***practices if it didn’t involve their own d***

So they raped women and children, often extra maritally, but you can guarantee they drew the line at homosexuality because of Christianity?!
