Is hidden colors credible enough for you?

No, but here’s an list of primary source narratives given by actual slaves describing how both black men and women were sexually abused by white slaveowners (for some reason they’re missing the part where black men were raped by white men in front of everyone to demasculate them)

Im not saying this never happened as in no male slave was ever raped, I’m saying buck breaking as it’s described wasn’t a commonplace actual practice. And once again, it doesn’t need to be because American slavery was already horrific enough on its own

Fair enough that I can understand. I would say your very first post was ambiguous and I read it as saying that it effectively never happened

Why you arguing with about everyone ITT, this must hit close to home 4u or something.

    1. If people are saying I’m wrong, why would I not want to respond
    2. Why would you want it to be true that black men were raped by white men, I mean the truth is already enough to make any black person passionate and adding this wouldn’t give white people more compassion anyway so what’s the point

What the first post was describing was the myth that as a common practice male slaves were raped in front of everyone by white men to make them look weak, and that was what I was specifically denying. I wouldn’t be surprised if multiple black slaves were raped by white men in private or something, I’m just saying they wouldn’t be open about it

If you really want an idea of what was going on during slavery in the Americas (not just the U.S.) I would suggest looking into slave narratives.

Finding out they turned Nat Turners dead body into grease and ate him was deeply disturbing.

    What the f***

Religion can easily stop you from doing something you didn’t want to do in the first place yeah. Plus it’s just as demasculating to rape the strongest mans wife in front of him, so why they not just do that instead

If they were secretly gay....why would they want the man's wife... If they could just have him

Coming from a very Christian family, there's a lot of secret homosexuals

That’s actually not true, their Christian homophobia wouldn’t let them. Doesn’t need to be either because horsewhips and regular rape of black women was already bad enough on their own

Slave owners have forced their slaves to do the most unimaginable things. I guarantee you would be able to find some sort of documentation of forced incest. They are instances of slave owners rapping children so what you’re saying is ridiculous.

When you have absolute power over someone, the things you can and will make them do for entertainment is boundless.

If they were secretly gay then I think buck breaking would kind of ruin the secret. Once again I’m not saying no male slave was ever raped, I’m saying it wasn’t a actual thing for slave owners to rape the strongest males in front of everyone to emasculate him

The original post I was responding to was talking about a myth that the strongest black males on the plantation were raped in front of everyone to show dominance. That’s not true, so I said it wasn’t. What I didn’t say was that no male slave was ever raped, I mean that’s not impossible at all. I’m just saying it wasn’t common or out in the open

A common misconception about child rapists is that they are usually nonces, when reality is these are often crimes of opportunity, homophobia isn't going to stop a rapist from from having their way with a male slave.

The The was I get that. But I think that when you have complete dominion over someone, you will test the absolute limits of it. The Stanford Prison experiment shows us this, and that only lasted 6 days. The BBC “The Experiment” differed from that slightly but ultimately was going to end the same, but it was ended before it got there. So now you put that in times of slavery, who was going to check the plantation owner? No one. There’s no doubt in my mind they’ve done things I can’t even imagine to their slaves.

I didn’t say that no male salve was ever raped, I said make slices weren’t raped in front of the whole plantation as a show of dominance. That has no historical backing

Their Christian values prevented them from doing it publicly, which is what buck breaking needed to be. Sodomy was actually a punishable offense because of Christian homophobia. I mean it still happened because people break the laws over time, but it’s not like it could be a common thing in an environment like that

And so too was adultery, and that didn't really do much for black women in slavery.

Well as I said earlier you can murder, rape, steal, and lie, yet not eat pork because religion tells you not to. When someone commits adultery there’s a sexual drive there, but if someone doesn’t feel attracted to the same gender then it’s pretty easy to not have gay s***and shun it even more then things that are actually worse

They would really only need to conceal it from other white people. Doing it in front of a group of slaves who have no protection from the law doesn't put the slave owner in jeopardy of being punished.

Even if they were caught they probably wouldn’t be charged because slaves didn’t count as people. I didn’t bring up sodomy being illegal to say that it would have been illegal to rape slaves, I brought it up to show their attitude towards gay s***as a whole

this post is so f***ing stupid, using “christian homophobia” to dismiss male rape while asserting regular rape to be a truth as if that aligns w Christian belief at all. REGARDLESS, ‘Christian belief’ didn’t do a damn thing to regulate the s*** that happened on plantations
