tbf i realized u can only enjoy it with a party of 4-5.
with 6 in your party, you're essentially going to have to grind. I just realized this 10 years after i played it first...you just gotta pick wisely.

For me though, I think Gen 3 was the last Gen to introduce a whole load of new players.

Recent gens just aren't able to garner as big of an audience as before.

people say it has the BEST story in all the games.

never picked those games since i thought they were boring though.

Not counting Fire Red, Emerald was the last mainline Pokemon game I played before losing my DS in middle school

With the exception of the starters, I didn't care much for the designs for most of Gen 3. Still prefer Gen 2

Gold/Silver is still my all time favorite of the franchise.

BW2 are the best Pokémon games imo and better than Platinum

Im 21 and been into Pokémon for as long as I could remember. Gen 5 followed by 4 and 3 were the games I had the most fun playing.

Gen 5 had like 150 new mons
Unique designs
Best villains
BW2 had the best regional dex
Took online to the next level
TMs don’t break after one use
Easy to hack/gen mons into the game

Gen 2 or 3.

Honestly I think my biggest problem with Pokemon now just comes from me getting older

Its harder for me to imagine and immerse myself in the adventure like I was as a kid watching the anime/movies

It’s been a couple of years since I played thru it but I do remember the dex being so big that you could get stuff like Riolu and azurill before the first gym. I didn’t even use my starter

either black/white or pearl/diamond/platinum
