MBDTF hasn't aged well for some reason
Edit: Its status is untouchable tho don't get me wrong
It didn't have to directly influence you. But someone somewhere told you that MBDTF was a perfect album. And it was the first 10/10 Pitchfork gave out in like 8 years at the peak of Pitchfork's culture credibility. So at the time, that review meant a lot and had a lot of influence over how the public perceived the album and that perception continues today.
I'm not saying the score is unwarranted tho

Wrong again. No one in my High School or my peers were talking about the album. So I didn't even know about it. Everyone I knew also hated Kanye cuz of the Taylor s***.
Only thing I knew about the album was that the single power was out. And the Runaway video.
I didn't even find out about the album till a month after it's release. MBDTF was also the first album I ever played in full.
This album was so powerful that my cousin came to my room and was like
"Your still listening to that album?"
I'm like what do u mean? I just started playing it.
"You've been playing that same album for months"
The guy above me is an idiot

yeah sure
I don't think anyone can make a MBDTF tier album apart from Ye. It is the only album I've heard that motivated me to become better. The first time I listened to it, I was genuinely amazed by what people can do if they put everything in their craft, I find something new in it everytime I listen to this album. It inspired me to do better at my own work. I think the story surrounding the album enriches it too, how he went into exile after the VMA incident and gave his all to make the album in 4 months in Hawaii. I've heard many great albums but none come close to this album for me personally, I could see some other album being MBDTF tier for someone else, but for me MBDTF is only one of a kind and none have come close yet.

1. Did you just compare CLB to MBDTF
2. Weekend is a pop singles artist
3. Are we d*** riding Kendrick, again?

That's how I genuinely feel
Been years since the last time I properly enjoyed it
And I used to LOVE that album
MBDTF are for people who need a comeback to revive their career. Drake audience will like whatever he puts out and weeknd only care about tiktok hits
yeah sure
I have great memories attached to the album
But it's just not doing much to me anymore when I try to hear it
Do you feel the same way or is it just me?
I feel like Bas, Logic, Wale and Vic Mensa all got at least one MBDTF tier album in them

Hello friend Yeah it's just you.

I don't know Bas but can't imagine Vic and Logic dropping anything original, maybe some bootleg copy version of MBDTF but they would've already done it
And Wale's lane is a bit different imo
