I can’t help but feel like this s*** just took a nosedive as a whole. Most rappers now don’t give a f*** about the art form, culture, or making a quality project. No one cares about making a classic. they just care about the numbers,gimmicks, anything they can do to go viral.
On top of that, niggas rap over the same type beats, got the same flow. It’s just exhausting.
I real live look at the game like this now:
absolutely...been saying this s*** since about Culture II bro. I said it in another thread as well, but it's all the same patterns.
it's all the same hi-hats, snare drum, and kick drum patterns. all the melodies are the same if not extremely similar.. I need some new s*** bc that's all I hear now when I listed to anything released by a popular hip hop artist since 2018
the NY drill sound is keeping me entertained but I want something else. I just don't see how people can keep listening to the same patterns over and over and over again?
