So would you be okay with a company banning anyone who advocates a revolution?

I mean, yes, they can, private business owners can do this.

You simply move to another platform.

freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequence with private businesses you dense dumbass, this isn’t a gotcha

I mean the same rhetoric you’re using about “freedom of speech” is the same used to excuse internet neo-nazis saying abhorrent things like that.

They legally can, it’s their right, however you aren’t free from consequence

Do you think you should be able to call a black person a slur on KTT? It’s free speech right, and mods banning you is an infringement on your rights?

again I would agree if you would take this stance for when it happens to people you agree with.

ktt2 isnt the same as a major platform like twitter.

thats like saying should you be able to cuss on club penguin 💀💀

I mean I would, it’s the facts and that’s something I would like to think about in regards to the regulation of things like hate speech laws because it could be used by right-wingers to come down on leftists hard

They’re still both considered social media platforms, notoriety/userbase doesn’t matter at all

I believe it is your 1st amendment right to say wild “bannable” s***, but don’t b**** about the social consequences and that private platforms have TOS which they can enforce (like Microsoft and Sony talking about hate speech not being allowed as much anymore.)

You simply move to another platform which can allow it, for example, right-wing extremists have their own community networks which no one uses (and they ban dissent) so they make twitter sock accounts because it reaches the most people

i disagree smaller platforms like ktt2 is different from larger platforms like twitter. ktt2 is very niche etc.

Do you think private water companies, banks, landlords should be able to kick people out for viewpoints they disagree with?

This pivot doesn’t make sense, they’re still considered private social media platforms in eyes of the law. I mean, private banks don’t allow terror groups or d*** cartels to use their services to launder money.

Would you argue for publicizing/nationalizing utilities like water, banking and homes on the basis of free speech?

I believe water and housing and good wages should be a right.

    I absolutely agree with this, that’s why I’m a socialist :)

if anything i feel they are too restrictive and should let people say what they want... let us decide who is what, let us see what people are saying instead of censoring them
