Man I don’t understand why your always talking about these guys like they’re up next soon to be superstars or something

It’s niche music with a niche group of kids listeners. Same as any other underground scene

You’re 25 and im wondering if you just got into hip hop like 3 years ago because there’s no other reason you’d say stuff like that. You were around when the older generations blew up and you should be able to see the difference

Bro does the same thing dudes used to do bigging up def jux signees and sean price except he thinks it’s cool with ‘young’ artists now because of their age and appeal

I guess for me it would’ve been money longer. But honestly I never really knew about an underground like that at that time.

I remember i heard wdyw just cuz i was big into edm in 2015 lmao

He really said “lazer dim is building one of the strongest cult fan bases we’ve ever seen in the genre”

    Like bro what?

When I drop the underground gon be back in action

  • Apr 29, 2024

The 3 rappers in op I don't think are cut out to be mega stars, maybe yeat can hit Uzi peak levels but he needs to be on a meme song and a left field accidental mega hit for it to happen

I'm wondering why nephew and Christ Dillinger arent more massive, and why dj smokey isnt hitting 2017ish era metro level yet

Blp kosher I'm surprised hasn't become the next jack Harlow yet, but it weirdly looks like certified trapper might be the next big 1 except I doubt people are even voting for him to on xxl like that even with all the advertising

  • Current new crop In America ain't that good and they have even more competition than previous generations with the rise of international rappers. Everyone is competing for the same streams so of your s*** ass, your donzo.

Him and the other underground fans will call people out of touch for not knowing niche rappers like bro it’s called underground for a reason. Nobody knows them unless you follow that specific subgenre

Are you saying lum didn't have a bigger cult following in 2011-2014 than NetSpend currently? Lol

What Netspend vinyl is selling for 400+

If by "Cult fan base" he means a bunch of 36-month twitch sub white kids going "bro is a D1 crashout💀💀" on all his videos then he's correct.

  • Apr 29, 2024

Even Spark master tape had a bigger cult following than netspend damn zoomers

The idea that every generation underground has to latch on and become big is not always true. Art has periods of instability and stagnation, maybe we are reaching that point. its not like TV where we kind of in a golden age with new 10/10 shows dropping every year . Hiphop prolly on the decline despite ppl sayin its back this year

bro what are you talking about, lazer isn’t “rivaling” anything, it’s way too early to even say that

ugly mane had actual fans, like niggas that would actually cop merch and vinyl off of him, and pull up to shows

don’t confuse tiktok hype and memes with a “following” man

  • These dudes besides Ken and Lone arent hit makers like the SoundCloud generation.
