It’s too late, you reminded me of the existence of houses, and now I’m pissed.

My office closed down their building and have gone full time work from home. I couldn't be more happy

Not only am I much happier working at home, s*** has basically been a pay rise considering the money and time I'm saving on the commute

I've turned that free time into gym time, something I was always too tired to do before, and I'm thriving

  • Jan 7, 2022

Working from home is nightmare material. Then again, so is corporate 9-5. Couldn't be me

Took a 10% paycut to work remote permanently and I have no regrets

    as you should my guy

the 10% probably went towards gas and lunch breaks anyway. working at home is GOAT

  • Jan 7, 2022

    not true at all

  • Jan 7, 2022

i do think i'd probably be better suited to climb the corporate ladder in person but as so many itt have mentioned it makes everything else so much better that it's worth the sacrifice

Tfw the execs let it be known production up, client satisfaction up, remote is here to stay

It’s funny, I had a “covid is a hoax” friend try and tell me that working remotely only happened because people are too lazy and big corporations only want to get richer. Like bro, you’re just mad you picked a line of work that requires you to be on job sites 60 hours a week

As you say it's a very personal thing but I always felt much more cooped up in an office

At home I can dip outside no problem during the day and have much more freedom and a lot more energy to do things before and after

The building my office in was falling apart and mice infested and we were only allowed 10 min toilet break. A boss looking over our shoulder all day. Lights that gave you a headache. Windows that barely let light in.

If u do have a pleasant work environment def be grateful for it because although it does suck a lil not seeing people a lot of offices are hellish

In my job I’m way more productive and happy in the office, I have less stress.

I think I need at least a couple days a week in the office for my own sanity.

There's nothing wrong with being selfish to a degree though

Not if that selfishness means getting to see your kids more and having more money to spend on them and yourself as well as a general improvement in well being

People shouldn't be miserable just for the sake of an economy which with a lil time and support will adapt to any change like it always does

Not saying it's easy or dismissing other people's pains though just I'm not sure you can really categorise people wanting the above as a bad selfishness

I actually agree. Company Culture is essential in World Building bs fantasies.

Yea if I had kids and didn’t live in a small one bedroom I would be happier to work from home

The amount I spend on rent I can easily rent a house outside the city

Not surprised a bunch of people addicted to posting on an Internet forum are thinking otherwise though.

Do y’all even leave your house on days off

    yeah.

The difference is I don't have to fake it when I leave the house to socialize on my days off.

that's so f***ed. they literally don't have to provide you with space, air conditioning, parking, toiletries, or a break area and YOU have pay

I do. I wfm 3/5 days. This is coming from experience that what the game is missing is an optimistic individual like myself who could actually change the culture from within. When you're in disagreement with the actions of your client or employee, building that relationship becomes strenuous if not a headache overtime.

U know what it's like talking to white washed ppl. That's taxing lmao. I myself have to get better because what God has placed within myself and others can rapidly change the paradigm
