In fact part of the reason they switched us to permanent work from home is because they had a new building planned so the COVID enforced work from home run gave them the perfect chance to swerve and save like 75mil

you can be part of a team and still wfh. sometimes more than before. i’ve met more people at my job wfh than when we had to go in the office. i hope we never have to go back lol

for the brief time i worked full time in an office we did a christmas lunch and we did stuff for the lunar new year which was fun

that said, i don’t think you need to be at the office full time to reap those benefits. a couple days a week if that is more than enough

Really sucks these old ass hags really think the environment of the office workplace needs to be the centerpiece of your life. Their whole identify is literally based upon it and that s*** should not be normal for anyone

a couple days is fine and just doing what you need to get your job done is what it’s all about but these people want to advertise the office workplace as not only your job but as a hobby and apart of your outside social life.
There’s a whole generation of younger people who actually understand we can do what we need to do when @work and when we are done, we live our life. If you love your job then that’s amazing but most people are here for the paper and we out. Also being loyal to a business is something they cry about because it’s also a dying thing.

I wonder if boomers realise that a majority of us just want to do our jobs just for the money and enjoy our hobbies and lives afterwards.

Because I have the option to wfm or be in person. They'll have in person meetings but I'll be on campus, in my office on zoom.

Yes and I'm also admitting that I'm apart of the problem. Instead of using the light that God's given me to be the on campus change, I'll just do my work and grow the bag.

I know that me working from home decreases the office politics, off hand conversations, inside jokes etc. the little things that builds company culture.

The more I/we continue the divide, the worse it gets.
