    Why wouldn’t it

the business who created the innovation captures the profit

the worker has nothing to do with the production and is simply an input in an economic transaction

common misconception of modern economics and partly the reason why we are in this mess in the first place

Sorry but I don’t really care for your arbitrary finders keepers playground rules. The whole point of a motherfuckin economy in the first place is so that everyone is producing just as much as they’re consuming. If people are producing extra goods and materials that should go towards actually improving the lives of the people that invention is supposed to benefit. That’s how things worked in the old days before the greedy and powerful decided to cannibalize it to their satanic motives. Your imagined ideal system where people get to collect half of everything everyone produces for creating s*** like the plough isn’t sustainable and will inevitably collapse on itself

i don't think you know what economics actually is so i'll let you believe that the point "is so that everyone is producing as much as they're consuming"

globablism is a virus that hasn't even started to accelerate true competition. middle america is already competing against african and chinese entrepeneurs and this will only rapidly accelerate as the entire world gets access to the internet

why would i pay some entitled american for a job when i can go on fiverr \? if you think it's bad now, enjoy that at-will employment in the future

your version of have vs have-not is limited to the developed world in scope and has not prepared you for what is really coming

not to mention the "old days" you believe in were even more rigid economies that exploited their workers and even had such "horrible things" as child labor

and regarding my "ideal system," i'm a believer in the austrian school mixed with chicago so what you described regarding revenue sharing is so dumb

my original critique is regarding that stupid outdated, misleading productivity graph you posted so i'd rather stick to the economics anyway

anyway it's monday morning take care i have stocks to trade

yeah right after they finish f***ing on tinder, liking some more pics on instagram, and hating on their favorite celebrity to virtue signal the latest trend. right after they finish reading their first book and after they finish their 8th marvel movie. i'm sure then they will focus on the important things like every previous generation has!

Nothing great about needing to take back what keeps getting stolen from you. It’s not a question of choices anymore.

I don't have anything against working 30 hour work weeks but I really don't have any issues with 40+ hour weeks. I never feel like I don't have enough time to do things outside of work.

Depends on what he's doing, if the money's great or he's in a field he enjoys with no kids/dependents then it's fine tbh. If you're trying to move up the corporate ladder then for a lot of people that work/life balance stuff is a myth lol. Heck even if you're building your own business you have to treat it like a full time job at minimum
