the business who created the innovation captures the profit
the worker has nothing to do with the production and is simply an input in an economic transaction
common misconception of modern economics and partly the reason why we are in this mess in the first place
Increasing technological complexity usually requires increased specialization and capability from the workers
That should be rewarded with increased pay. Just as the company is rewarded with profits for the new technology it can sell at higher prices
I think for projects workers should be under contract. No pay by hours just pay for knocking out specific milestones in the contract
The problem is people need stable income. That is my issue. The idea that we have to constantly work to be allowed to live in this country.
That s*** is ridiculous to me. This whole system needs to be modernized. Many jobs are sporadic in nature. Such jobs should be treated like contract jobs. Rent shouldn't be pushed up so aggressively it's unnecessary and problematic for our society. Its rly small changes that make our society much better we don't need to rely so much on broad changes like universal income.
I work 40+ hours a week (idek how many hours, but a lot) with very little downtime, so I’m never really wasting time, but yeah I think a 3 day weekend would do a lot for my mental in physical health because that stuff always get neglected.
Having very little free time and a ton of mental stress constantly weighs on a person and becomes detrimental to their health. This is happening to so many of us.
A nation wide 4 day work week would be perfect. My uncle works at a company where they only work from Monday to Thursday
He works 10 hours a day tho, but I'd gladly work 2 extra hours per day for a 3 day weekend
f*** that. unless your job is very demanding and non-stop work, give me the 3 day weekend but 7-8 hours monday-thursday
why would u work a job u dont love sound like misery to me
exactly none of these jobs r appealing💀
