4×10 should be the way to go
Depends on your line of work
10 hours at an office? Nahhh, you can really knock out work mad early and just coast depending on what you are doing. After that it's just wasted time for both the employee and the employer. Software development (depending on your team), menial HR s***, repetitive tasks you can automate def don't deserve that much time imo
I work 70 hours +
This generation is so embarrassing
Right
Especially in Corp America, we’re forced to work 60+
i've never worked a job where i didn't have to slow down my productivity to stretch it to 8 hours
Ik this a troll post but working 70 hours is beyond embarrassing cause iy either means you get paid s*** , youre entire existence is defined by your job or you work for yourself
Or maybe he just likes making money.
I usually try to do at least 60 hours a week (40 hrs + 20 OT hours)
That time and a half money
40 hours of over time is like an extra check on top of your normal check
Most jobs don't need to be 40 hours. Only people that should have to go over 40 are people that want to, such as highly competitive doctors and lawyers. No company needs a person to travel from home to the office and spend 40 hours a week there to move data around spreadsheets or process HR reports
Hybrid schedules (work from home/office work split)
Reduced work week
Better work/life balance
More PTO/Vacation
All things that should be the focus moving forward but we know that America will never allow its people to move forward because the good ol boys will say that the nation was built on hard work and picking up your bootstraps
My job for sure couldn't work if 30 hours a week was the norm
But distribution companies in general wouldn't

Agreed
Swear I never got this unless it’s something u love
why would u work a job u dont love sound like misery to me
what's wrong with 40?
30 is cool too but whats so bad about 40?
A nation wide 4 day work week would be perfect. My uncle works at a company where they only work from Monday to Thursday
He works 10 hours a day tho, but I'd gladly work 2 extra hours per day for a 3 day weekend
I've worked 10 hours a day/4 days a week for the last 4 months (although I'm switching back to 8/5 today) and it's not that great. I much prefer 8 hours/5 days a week. The issue with 10 hours, especially if you are commuting, is that you are basically handing over the entirety of your day to your job. If you work 8 hours at least you have some down time at the end of the day to relax/work on other things.
Also the people in this thread saying "i work 70 hours a week" looking down on everyone else like they're proud of it, don't even realize how f***ing miserable they are
