yeah they turn off the music videos after they c***if you dont put thought into them

this has been proven multiple times over the last few years not to be true

1. Spotify and Apple Music need to make an effort to become the new prime YouTube/VEVO
2. The artistic meta of music videos needs to be upgraded and re-legitimized ie Billie Jean-Beat It-Thriller
3. More music video worthy music needs to be made

There are exceptions with #3

good music videos still get millions of views, as they have before

even more so for hit records

Spending millions on a MV is crazy

I rarely watch a music video more than once

it kinda depends tbh but i get this line of thinking

especially with the lack of platforms that were specifically CATERED to host music videos

tbh it's really a lost art some of my favorite pieces of media ever are music videos

nothing better than sitting around a couch with a few friends with some music videos playing or just having it on in the background with the big screen 🥲

I’m still heavy on music videos, probably a result of growing up in the MTV era

admittedly when I ask ppl around me the majority don’t know their fave popular song has an MV
