I finished the first book earlier this year, reading dune messiah rn.

I love the Aaliyah character but her being all sexual at 15 in this book is giving me weird r Kelly vibes.

just met b****ass the dwarf, not sure if he’s good or bad yet.

maybe I should start reading the other books in the series

Dune messiah finished super strong, and children of dune has been even better so far. Written so beautifully. I’m surprised how well the sequels are staying consistent with the first book in theme and tone, but staying interesting plot-wise.

might as well read the series. 1st one was great. heard it gets really dark

Just bought the audiobooks for Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. Gonna reread the first book since it’s almost been a year since I originally read it

Haven’t read full books in 6+ years - finally got back into it in December and 70% of the way through with dune. So far the only part that threw me off was the time jump, but otherwise it’s been an incredible book.

time jump from Paul joining the freman to his unborn sister suddenly becoming a full grown kid with abilities.

actually haven't read in months but all I remember was Pauls mother mentioned saving his sister and I was like wait hold up yeah im pretty sure it was the beginning of the war

just read the first one but have Dune Messiah in my cart just haven't pulled the trigger to buy it

God Emperor is my favorite, I’m doing a reread and I’m on Children of Dune. On the reread, I have moments where I feel like Children kind of drags but that might be because 2 and 4 are so fast paced to me. Really excited to do Heretics and Chapterhouse again because I remember just being blown away with how weird the series gets.

I just started reading the first book yesterday and I can’t put it down at all. Wish I’d read this way sooner.
