    its not an addiction bro

  • Nov 16, 2020

It definitely could be an issue if you have the funds for daily usage. Like others have suggested, try smoking once you are done with work or whatever tasks you have for the day. I would definitely suggest going somewhere that it is not easily accessible for a couple days and just do something else.

Not in the physiological sense but it still very much is imo

It sounds dumb but simply not reupping on it will help. If in order to smoke you need to go out of your way to call up your dealer/go to the dispensary, then its a lot easier to say f*** it than it would be if you had an ounce sitting in your jar

Im 21 and i started smoking at 17, but over the past 2 years ive been smoking way more and this year, almost everyday. My breaking point was this weekend when i took a 40mg edible and it did nothing to me. I finally was able to feel high after i rolled 2 joints. The next day i threw out my papers and grinder, deciding that im done. Ive been too far gone, I need to switch things up. I want my drive back. But I'm still struggling tbh.

Easiest way to stop is to replace it with something, and when you have the urge to smoke just go do that thing

After a few days without smoking, that feeling of wanting to do it will go away. Like I can run out of weed and then go months without re-upping. Currently the last time I smoked (my own) weed was about 3 months ago. My friends invite me to smoke sometimes and I’ll take a few hits, but that’s it.

So I guess just try really hard going cold turkey for those first few days and wait for the nagging feeling to subside by the end of the week. Maybe replace it with exercise or reading instead, those help me go to sleep quicker when I don’t have weed to knock me on my ass

sounds like you cant quit cold turkey. Just start smoking 2-3 bowls a day instead of whatever you are doing now. Then try to only smoke at night. Then try to not smoke every other day

  • Nov 16, 2020

Once you slow down you’ll get higher when you smoke, and not be able to just be high all day like that. If you really wanna quit

  • Nov 16, 2020

Im blessed enough to stop and start whenever i please.

I just have to expect 2-4 weeks of irritability

I feel like once you get addicted to a d*** that s*** never truly goes away and you just have to learn how to deal w it for the rest of your life. Like eventually after a long period of time you def won’t get the urge to do it anymore but every now and then something will trigger it and you just have to do your best to not give in

The only thing I’ve truly quit so far in my life is cigarettes and it’s been almost 10 years since I stopped and I def don’t get the urge to smoke them anymore even if I’m in a room full of smokers (tbh I get more disgusted now by the smell more than anything) but every once in a while I’ll see a character in a movie/tv show smoking the s*** out of a cigarette and ill think to myself “damn it’d be nice to smoke a stog like that” but I never do.

Tried quitting coke end of 2018 and I was doing good until quarantine happened and was so bored that I eventually caved in and did it 2-3 times like during the summer but haven’t done it since but I have a feeling I’ll prolly end up doing it again sooner or later.. just not every other day like I used to. at least I can be around it while my friends do it and not feel the need to participate anymore. Before if all my friends were doing coke around me I had to do it too or id start getting mad n s*** lol smh.

that’s how it is whenever I see someone smoking a wood on socials . Was smoking like a pack of those a day. been tryna not to smoke them at all now tho. Been doing good so far. Covid def made it a lot easier to give up the woods tho. Don’t need my lungs/health getting more f***ed up than they need to

but yeah you just gotta learn to deal w it/not give in and eventually it won’t trigger you as much. I think the magic # of days is like 2-3 weeks. If you can stay clean for pretty much a month it should get a lot easier to not give in after.

or try calculating how much money you’ve spent on d**** in a year/lifetime and that # can also be pretty eye opening

nah I stopped cause I could tell these s***s weren’t good for my health + they were getting super addicting to the point where I needed a wood to smoke. Something about that paper/leaf just gets you so much higher than a regular blunt wrap. Also felt like I was cheating cause I quit cigarettes but was still smoking blunts/woods like crazy. I could have a zip on me but if didn’t have a wood or even just a lil piece of a wood to top off a bong bowl I wouldn’t smoke until I went to the store and got a wood. felt like a crackhead but w blunt wraps.

also ngl there was a thread on here by @Heebz about smoking woods and weed mixed together in a bong and the negative side effects that came w it and that s*** had me shook cause I was doing that a lot at one point to save weed.

my weed tolerance was super high 1+ years ago. and it was like 1-2 years where all I was smoking was exotics cause I had a fire plug. Billy kimber all day. been smoking pretty consistently for like 14 years now. But I cut down like crazy and only smoke 2-3 hits from my plug and play pen and only after I eat dinner/at the end of the night. one snap from a bong gets me blasted now. used to smoke like 4-5 times a day all bong snaps and woods smh. I was one of those dudes who had to smoke something before eating a meal n s*** but I’ve finally gotten over that and can eat meals w/o wanting to smoke weed first now.

ngl tho covid had a lot to do w my cutting down tho. Cause back in like March I was absolutely shook and worried bout my lungs so I decided to cut down and now it’s just become a habit after smoking less for 8 months or whatever
