I haven't. I've given up a lot of s*** but weed is definitely not one of them. We're talking a decade plus addiction here.
I feel like once you get addicted to a d*** that s*** never truly goes away and you just have to learn how to deal w it for the rest of your life. Like eventually after a long period of time you def won’t get the urge to do it anymore but every now and then something will trigger it and you just have to do your best to not give in
The only thing I’ve truly quit so far in my life is cigarettes and it’s been almost 10 years since I stopped and I def don’t get the urge to smoke them anymore even if I’m in a room full of smokers (tbh I get more disgusted now by the smell more than anything) but every once in a while I’ll see a character in a movie/tv show smoking the s*** out of a cigarette and ill think to myself “damn it’d be nice to smoke a stog like that” but I never do.
Tried quitting coke end of 2018 and I was doing good until quarantine happened and was so bored that I eventually caved in and did it 2-3 times like during the summer but haven’t done it since but I have a feeling I’ll prolly end up doing it again sooner or later.. just not every other day like I used to. at least I can be around it while my friends do it and not feel the need to participate anymore. Before if all my friends were doing coke around me I had to do it too or id start getting mad n s*** lol smh.
This s*** kinda real af I given up a lot of s*** but when I think about those d**** I be foaming at the mouth and can't help but think about the "good times" I just abstain from them because I know it's not good for me.
I mean at some point when you'll have responsabilities and bills to pay so you just won't have the spare money for an oz every 2 weeks lmao

Throw it all out and make it hard for yourself to cop - ie dont keep cash, if you use a dealer delete their #, etc.
Im on day 4 right now, one thing that helped me too was making a pact with a friend (he quit cigs and I quit weed at the same time)
This is a very effective approach. Making a habit unattractive/more difficult makes it easier to quit

Smoke so much to the point you have a panic attack, you'll never wanna do it again, trust me.
I just stop buying it and deal with the “withdrawal” that happens over the following few days (lack of appetite, harder to sleep).

Humor me if it's not a bother to you. I actually find this subject quite fascinating.
What exactly is it that you use marijuana for? If it’s avoiding your problems then you gotta figure out what your problems are and why you want to avoid them and how they affect you.
Otherwise unless you seriously just cannot go a day without pot, you might have a dependency that you can teeter off either with dirt weed or by being mindful as to when you smoke. Ex: if you smoke 4 times a day then try to start doing 3. Let it come to you and be mindful at exactly what times you smoke. Then as the weeks go on, look at your times and see if you notice any patterns. Is it before work/school? Try to find an alternative such as making food or getting in the car early. Do that laundry you’ve been meaning to do. The idea is that you preoccupy yourself with putting your focus away from smoking. How much do you smoke? Slowly taking away how much you intake overtime will work too.

What worked for me was setting a goal. I was noticing I was spending way too much on weed and I’ve been tryna save for a new car. So I just told myself I wont smoke until I buy my car and it’s actually on the road and ready to go. That might take 6-7 months, but all that extra money I spent on weed is going towards the car now so I should get there faster @op
Find a way to lower your tolerance. You gonna enjoy it more and save money . The most enjoyable way of smoking weed is weed you don’t need it . Like when people bring weed around and spark you up or during an event . Stop smoking just to smoke .
