not if the music isnt similar to traditional rap. Anyone can be called a rapper atp.

Not everyone has to sound like KRS one to be a rapper

Exactly. Those "hype" kids aren't the main demographic of rap.

  • May 10, 2021

But the ones that are, are VERY annoying I'll be honest. They invalidate your opinion if you listen to s*** older than like 3 years.

those kids are part of the problem. it's not even a race thing, there's an influx of hype beasts poisoning the culture.

even though wlr was a decent album, ultimately it was a missed opportunity that didn't resonate with the masses. uzi's last album was another missed opportunity because he tried too hard to impressed old heads that focus on bars over melodies, and that s*** backfired. with that being said, neither are of them are going anywhere soon.

what bars did ea have? lmao

hate to break it to you but if you rap and have somewhat of a loyal fanbase 9 times outta 10 they look like this

Is there another version of EA thats not on my apple music?

that was the main criticism of ea, outside of the weak production.

Either way them lil niggas you posted dont count as a fanbase separate from rap lol.

An example of a rapper with a sizeable fanbase thats separate from hip hop would be tyler the creator. He has alot of fans that listen to mostly mac demarco, and other indie type s***.

    Carti doesnt really have that

this s*** go in cycles we’ll be seeing another shift in a year or 2

I gave up on this rap s*** a looooong time ago. All these dudes that KTT hype up besides the biggest names are interchangeable and then you complain about variety in the game and they’ll point you too a guy like Semetary lol.

And another truth people need to know is a lot black young adults either don’t listen to rap or they don’t take it seriously enough to be considered fans so Hypebeast kids and followers are taking their place. So yeah, this what the modern day rap fan looks like,I always see white kids playing street rap loudly lol.

even if there has always been white fans, that was never the face of hip-hop fandom. idk what the future holds but as of today, it's still not.
