Okay and pop rap is still dominating regardless if there's a new era or not... The street rappers make pop rap too. Lil Baby's biggest song is literally Drip Too Hard
and nobody is denying that. doesnt change the fact that there's a new era

Glad we can agree that pop rap is still dominating
Pop rap is still running s***. Is that hard to understand? Lol
@Niggamortis Street rap isn't putting up numbers like pop. We'll see if the street rap wave can continue it's run.
Street rap is doing better numbers than pop tho lol pop been dead
And if you just mean pop rap the biggest song on Khaled album is the Baby x Durk one so
The kid on the bottom right looks photoshopped, his face looks 10 years older than his body
I don't listen to polo g but he's a pop rapper if his music matches those criteria.
Pop rap is not an actual genre. Unless you mean actual pop singers on a song. Any song that’s popular gets labeled pop rap no matter how it actually sounds

Actually the biggest song is I DID IT and that's almost as pop rap as it gets....
@02Shaq Naw it definitely is a thing. It's not hard to tell the difference between a hardcore chief keef song and a pop rap song like Drake's What's Next or Future's Mask Off

This is silly lol
The rappers from the soundcloud era largely cant survive this street era, the ones that are have really started putting a focus on their rap ability and surrounded themselves wit street niggas(uzi, yachty, etc.)
That Trippie Carti song wasnt mid it was your standard SC rap affair but it hasnt aged well, no one wants to hear rappers wit dye in their hair lie about what guns they shootin
If not the lyrical street rap route the only other way for them to survive is to embrace that MGK brand rock s*** but completely lose their black fannases
I have a lot more to say but thats the short version for page 6

It's been a weekend. Doing a million a week and people DO want to hear what rappers with their died hair have to say about guns

Man even the people that wanted that s*** have already moved on
Its okay to let go of the past, it was a fun ride but the world has moved on

I feel like we having two different conversations
No offense to anyone but reading this thread made me lose couple iq points
Y’all are arguing about literally nothing
what song on their would even be good to push as single lol, they either way too short or not suited for radio play
U don’t know what u talkin bout bro why talk?
For reasons I can’t elaborate on I absolutely hate that there is a rapper named Ken Carson blowing up
